About the Back Bay
Your Home Base for the Best of Boston
When you think of Boston, you're probably thinking of the Back Bay.
Both Oasis Guest House and Adams Bed and Breakfast are located on Edgerly Road—in the backbone of the Back Bay—just a short walk or subway ride to everything you want to do in Boston.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Back Bay is one of Boston's most prized neighborhoods, lined with signature Victorian brownstones from the late 1800s.
Before a massive 19th century filling project, the Back Bay was a marshy bay in the Charles River. In those days, Boston boasted three large hills. Two were leveled and used as fill to create the Back Bay. Just one remains—neighboring Beacon Hill.
Brownstones, shopping, restaurants, museums, parks, colleges, history … one thing's for sure: When you stay in the Back Bay, you'll know you're in Boston.
